Sintered Mullite based Super Castables for Iron & Steel Industry
Mullite, which forms 85% of the Castable mix, is produced by Sintering at a temperature of 1850 Deg C. During this process all the impurities are removed, and a single compound of Alumina Silicate is formed which inherits the following unique properties
Non Wettable Property
Low Thermal Conductivity
High Spalling Resistant
Inert in Nature, Hence No Reaction with CaO, Co2 Etc
High Thermal Shock Resistance
Resistance to Chemical Attack
The following are the proven benefits as per the feedback provided by our valued customers
Savings in cost as Insulation boards and safety bricks are not required
Reduction in energy cost as there is restriction in the heat losses to agreat extent
Reduction in repair and maintenance expenses for safety lining
Reduced down time as the life of this castable is more than one year
Prevents deformation of furnace/shell, i.e. bending or bulging
Increased Campaign Life
An overall reduction in the cost of productionRefractory Solution for Steel Plants
We provide and recommend the application of these super castables in the following areas:
